The Exchange of Missiles is a Sideshow, Iran’s Jihadist Imperialism is What Matters
I have an essay in Fathom Journal—you can read it here—arguing that Iran’s missile and drone attack on Israel on 14 April, and whatever is to come in response, are essentially symbolic events in the Iran-Israel war. The real threat from Iran is its transnational jihad, led by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), which has planted imperial outposts throughout the Middle East that are intended to be used as bases for a grinding war of attrition to extinguish the Jewish State. This “ring of fire” strategy has been gaining ground for years, and is the urgent issue in need of a policy to counter it.
